Client -

My client is small but professional outfit that mange one of Sydney key contracts for civil works, They have a team of just 15 staff and they provide ongoing support to key projects within Sydney and Newcastle.  They have medium size fleet of construction vehicles and plant equipment ranging from 7 tonne to 63 tonne. With two offices listed in NSW you will be looking to support major relationships within the Sydney area. The boss is looking for someone upbeat, highly motivated and can get along with everyone and be part of great team. Many of the employees really enjoy working in this operation due to leadership and the No BS policy. With staff days and excellent moral, it's a positive work environment.

Position -

In this role you required to support the projects and make sure that you can reduce downtime on all mobile equipment. You need to have a keen eye to make sure each piece of machinery is serviced and has regular checks completed. You will be supported from the workshop team if the machines need to go in for a heavy service repair. You're the key point of contact between the client and fleet operations manager within Sydney's construction projects. Your experience with mid-sized plant must be strong and you need to be self-sufficient and have the capabilities to identify electrical and mechanical issue that occur on the field.

· Repair & Maintenance of diesel engine machinery.

· Diagnostics & Trouble Shooting

· Problem solving

· Solve electrical issues or electrical components

· Overall, inspect and repair of machinery

· Communicate effectively with parts department

· Order and control of all customer issues

· Work on diagnostic issues and work with the computer systems to trouble shoot engine issues and problem solve valving issues.

Candidate Requirements -

· Cert 3 Heavy Plant Mechanic Ticket

· years field service experience with earthmoving or related equipment.

· Strong Diagnostic exp & trouble shooting knowledge.

· Good all round Hydraulic skills

· The ability to communicate and build key relationships

· Willingness to travel

· If you have worked on excavators, wheel loader, mobile cranes, Foundation machinery,  mobile crushers or road compaction equipment this would be a massive advantage.
