**About Daunia Mine**:
Daunia is an established operation in the Bowen Basin, which has been producing high quality metallurgical coal for the export market since 2013. It is located south-east of Moranbah, adjacent to Whitehaven’s existing Winchester South development project. Daunia features state-of-the-art infrastructure and mining operations, including well-established autonomous equipment and infrastructure.
About the Role
We are excited to open up EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST for experienced Production Drillers to join us as at our newly acquired Daunia site within the Drill & Blast team.

Production Drillers are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of drill rigs to ensure a maximum output on a continuous basis.

Drillers will be employed on an even time rotating day/night roster (7on/7off).

What You’ll Do
- Conduct production drilling activities to enable safe and efficient mining operations
- Conduct routine operational and safety activities to effectively prepare for and manage operational workload
- Conduct drill support activities to support safe and effective drill operations
- Conduct blast execution activities to facilitate safe and efficient blasting

What You’ll Bring
- A positive attitude towards safety, improvement, training & environment
- Ability to maintain a high work output level
- Ability to adhere and live the Whitehaven Values and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture.
- Production drilling experience with statements of competency/VOC’s for equipment
- Certificate 3 RII31815 in Drilling Operations (desirable)
- Current Drivers Licence and current HR Licence (desirable)
- Ability to pass a QLD Coal Board Medical
