**The Role**

We currently have an opportunity to join our Marketing team as a Copywriter in a permanent position. This opportunity is open to work from our Melbourne or North Sydney office in conjunction with our hybrid work environment.

As a Copywriter at MLC Life Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and copyediting clear, engaging, and user-centric communications across various channels. Your ability to distil complex technical concepts into simple, understandable language will significantly contribute to enhancing the overall customer and partner experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Infusing our brand tone into all written communications, aligning with company values and purpose.
- Translating complex product and regulatory information into accessible and engaging content.
- Creating easy-to-understand copy that resonates with our audience and fosters positive brand interactions.
- Working with teams across the organization (product, marketing, operations, customer service, legal, communications) to gather requirements and align with business objectives.
- Producing high-quality written content, including marketing materials, product descriptions, policy documents, and FAQs.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writing and content creation.
- Providing written customer communications on various topics:

- Significant Event Notices
- Regulatory changes
- Definition changes
- User guides
- Policy documents
- Product benefits
- Website copy
- Social media copy

**About you**
- Strong language skills focusing on grammar, punctuation and spelling.
- An eye for detail and a wide vocabulary.
- The ability to see different points of view, strong collaboration skills and great listening skills.
- Being able to copyedit and uplift existing content to suit audience needs and align with brand guidelines
- The ability to make the complex simple and explain technical concepts in plain English.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline.
- Previous proven experience as a writer/technical writer/copy writer, preferably in financial services but not essential.
