Alternative Assets Support Services Manager

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Alternative Assests Support Services Manager based in Melbourne. **In this role, you’re expected to**:
- Manage a growing team in multiple locations inclusive but not limited to Sydney, Melbourne & Kuala Lumpur. Management to be facilitated via direct or indirect reporting lines as well as Citi’s governance and oversight program
- Support ongoing business changes to deliver optimal operating model supporting Managed Funds, Private Equity, Term Deposits and other alternative asset classes by leveraging Citi operating model
- Leverage best technology solutions to increase the STP rates across the Alternative Assets flows
- Work collaboratively and in partnership with other departments of custody and funds administration business ensuring leverage of synergies across the group
- Support multiple legal vehicle flows depending on client and business needs
- Act as Business Activity Owner (BAO) for outsourced technology providers and vendors, perform due diligences and compliance reviews
- Manage complex and variable settlement related issues, liaise with multiple teams and departments on varying
- Engage and support product driven reviews and builds especially in areas of responsibility
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on implementation and on-boarding of new clients
- Proactively manage the team, develop talent and focus on staff growth and skillset capabilities
- Manage allocate budgets and associated deliverables
- Serve as an analytical and/or procedural expert in the Alternative Assets space while supporting a wide range of internal and external clients
- Support technical reviews, BRD raising, define problems, develop innovative solutions, streamline processes and lead change-the-bank projects
- Closely follow trends in the industry, identify cost savings opportunities and build effective relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Develops suitable training for staff whilst ensuring no key person risk
- Increase productivity and efficiencies by presenting data and analyzing validates to develop added solutions and oversee the integrity of process, operations and end results
- Assist with overseeing the risk control environment, compliance efforts to follow policies and procedures and keep abreast of Citi's operational processes and best practices in business strategy
- Filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources, including external clients and internal operations groups
- Serve as an advisor and coach to new or junior level staff on procedures and work processes across multiple departments
- Responsibility for audit, risk and compliance reviews
- Work closely with business, sales, change and implementation groups on achieving best results for clients and the franchise
- Minimum of 10+ years Settlements, Client Service, Corporate Actions experience, gained within a funds management or custody environment.

- Client relationships and stakeholder management
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Project management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of custody and funds industry framework both locally in AU/NZ as well as from global perspective
- Securities Institute or tertiary qualifications preferred but not essential
- Senior to advanced level experience in a related role with commensurate experience in people management preferred
