**About the role**

The Assistant Contract Advisory Officer role is responsible for providing support in contract advisory services to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role involves managing procurement needs while ensuring compliance to departmental policies and procedures. The responsibilities include:

- Undertaking basic contract analysis and providing accurate information in a timely manner, to support decision-making.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide support and guidance on contract arrangements in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain updates of contract records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all contract information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
- Assisting in preparing reports and documentation to meet compliance and reporting needs.

**About you**
- Experience in procurement and contract management
- Ability to manage competing demands in tight deadlines
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to work effectively with a range of customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and cloud-based collaboration platforms (Teams, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
