A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced
**Supply Chain & Procurement Manager **to secure a highly desired position.
This leadership position will be reporting directly to the Group General Manager.
**The Role**:
This role is responsible for leading and executing all aspects of the business’ supply chain and procurement function to maximise organisational efficiency and productivity, in addition to managing a small team.
Specifically, your day to day responsibilities is focused on the following:
- Be responsible for a small warehousing team
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
- Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain
- Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the warehouse
- Management of the warehouse with full accountability
- Accountability of the logistics and distribution of goods
- Maintain the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimise production
- Analyse current inventories and procedures; Suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
- Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; Implement subsequent changes to processes
- Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution
- Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; Make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials
- Negotiate prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
- Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials
- End to end sourcing including specification, tender management and negotiations
- Effectively manage contract performance through strong supplier relationship management and frameworks
- Ensure supplier activities are compliant with applicable policies and regulations
- Participate in the development of process improvement initiatives and value for money opportunities
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
- Other ad-hoc tasks relevant to the role
To be considered for the role, you will have met the following criteria:
- Have a work history within supply chain and within the hospitality and/or retail industry
- Relevant tertiary education within business management, supply chain management, or a related field
- Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to delivery
- Experience with Netsuite (highly desirable) or other similar ERP
- Experience with legal documents and tenders
- Have strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Be able to work with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, and champion the supply chain department’s objectives
- Be a professional team player with a can-do attitude that builds genuine relationships and has strong stakeholder management experience
- Problem solving skills with the ability to make recommendations and decisions
- You can multi-task and effectively manage and prioritise time
- Be operational and have a hands-on approach
- Strategic, self-motivated, curious, innovative, and resourceful
- Detailed orientated, organised and proactive
- Have a solid foundation in inventory management
- Have a passion for working within regulation with an eye for detail
- Be known for always looking to improve processes and systems within your previous roles
- Have a positive outlook and attitude
- Have a sense of urgency and follow through with what you promise
- Be proactive in your approach to getting results
- Must have full working rights in Australia
