Our client, a large manufacturing company in Western Sydney is looking to add a motivated and highly organised Purchasing Officer to its team. Operating on a global scale, this business works with some of the leading brands in Australia. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have full autonomy to succeed in this role and grow within the company.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaise directly with new and existing suppliers, both locally and overseas
- Take responsibility for procurement of all inbound goods
- Analyse purchase requests
- Resolve supply and product issues including invoice errors and credits
- Negotiating supplier contracts and prices
- Monitor deliveries to ensure purchases are received as per agreed delivery timeframe

- Previous purchasing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Manufacturing experience advantageous
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proactive approach to cost management
- Advanced numeric and computer skills, including MS Excel
