The Resource Coordinator (Readings) sits
within the Library Resource Services (LRS)
team. The position ensures students have
efficient web access to their course resources,
via QUT Readings.

This position reports to the Resource Team
Leader for supervision, workload management
and for Performance Planning and Review
(PPR).

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Supervision of Resource Assistants and

work associated with the day-to-day
delivery of the QUT Readings service,
including the Performance Planning and
Review process.
- Work with the University Copyright Officer

to ensure QUT Readings resources are in
full compliance with the Copyright Act 1968
(Cth) and QUT policies and procedures.
- Work with QUT Equity to ensure the

availability of appropriate onscreen access
to print-born reading materials for visually
impaired students.
- Communicate with key stakeholders,

including campus library staff, publishers
and library suppliers, to enable the efficient
delivery of library resources to students.
- Place, monitor and maintain orders,

renewals and cancellations of library
information resources to facilitate access to
resources in compliance with licence
conditions.
- Review, prepare and maintain procedures

to ensure efficient operations and
continuous improvement.
- Resolve more complex problems around

access to online and print subscriptions.
- Compliance with health and safety policies,

procedures, hazard reporting and safe work
practices.

To ensure job flexibility the successful
- appointee may be required to:
- perform any other duties as nominated by

the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in

consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses.

This appointment will be offered on an
ongoing, full-time basis.

Selection Criteria
1. Education, training and/or relevant

experience equivalent to the completion of
a degree in the field of Library Science or
Information Management (Libraries) and
subsequent relevant experience.

2. Demonstrated experience with library
information management and access
systems, preferably Talis Aspire, and Ex
Libris’ Alma Library Services Platform.

3. Well-developed knowledge of, and
experience in, library resource
management.

4. Well-developed skills and experience in
the supervision of staff.

5. Demonstrated ability to work under broad
direction, take initiative, prioritise work and
achieve successful outcomes within
deadlines.

6. Demonstrated high level communication
and interpersonal skills, including the
ability to effectively consult and negotiate
with internal and external clients on a
diverse range of matters in a professional
and confident manner.

7. Demonstrated high level problem-solving
knowledge and experience to find
solutions to workflow problems.

8. Demonstrated digital literacy
skills, including the ability to use automated
library systems and standard software/
communication packages.

**Remuneration and Benefits**
- The classification for this position is Higher
- Education Worker Level 6 (HEW6) which has
- an annual remuneration range of $96,955 to
- $104,981 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual
- salary range of $81,928 to $88,710 pa, 17%
- superannuation, and leave loading.
