**About the role**

Reporting to the Lead IT Project Manager, the Test Lead is responsible for providing leadership and testing expertise across 2 business critical projects. You will create the project test strategy, test plans and test cases, as well as executing functional, non-functional and user acceptance test cases. You will also be responsible for raising and tracking software defects throughout the testing lifecycle, in-line with the project plan and based on a structured testing methodology.

Your role contains both management and a “hands-on” aspect of testing and is anticipated to be the only dedicated testing function for the project, to ensure it meets business requirements and quality criteria.

**About you**
- Must have demonstrate experience working on complex projects
- Must have ISTQB, CSTE, Advanced Test Analyst or Agile Testing Certification
- Must have advanced proficiency in testing methodologies
- Proven experience planning and executing functional/non-functional system test cases, including integration, regression and user acceptance testing
- Established experience developing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, through effective communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in testing methodologies
- Proficiency in software testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, Zephyr)
- Knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAPUI
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python)
- Understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
