As a Data Analyst within the Data Portfolio, you’ll play a key role in helping the CRR&A Data initiatives. You will collaborate closely with a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Analysts, as well as business teams within the CRR&A portfolio.

What will your day look like?
This role will help the CRR&A Data team accelerate the closure of events in the backlog of our risk management system NFR Hub through a program of work designed to provide insights and improve event management processes.
As a member of the Retail Analytics CRR&A Data team, you bring advanced data analysis expertise and a passion for leveraging data to enhance our responses to regulatory requirements.
**As a Data Analyst, your key accountabilities will include**:
Developing management dashboards and the supporting data pipelines that contribute to regulatory reporting.
Developing standard Python/SQL queries and procedures to assist with the process optimisation.
Automating new and existing procedures and reporting workflows using Python or other scripting languages.
Providing data initiative support and expertise to product teams in Aus Retail and business teams within the CRR&A portfolio.
Developing insights and progress reporting for stakeholders.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Recent and extensive experience in a Data Analyst or Data Engineering role.
Extensive knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for analysis, data manipulation and presentation (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, QlikSense).
Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the level of insight surfaced.
Strong ability to translate data insights into practical business recommendations.
Strong data visualisation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
Data engineering tools (e.g., dbt, Spark, Airflow)
Experience with Big Data/Cloud platforms and technologies (Hadoop, Kubernetes)
Knowledge Management platforms and practices (GitHub, Confluence)
Degree qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent industry experience in data analysis, engineering, or related fields.
