This role attracts a composite allowance in recognition of expanded working hours, normal patterns of attendance and shift patterns (such as Afternoon Shifts, Night Shifts, Weekends and Designated Public Holidays) that are required under the Operations or Rostered Operations working pattern. In accordance with the Enterprise Agreement, an employee who is required to work in accordance with the Operations working pattern or Rostered Operations working pattern will receive a Core Composite of 22% in addition to their Base Salary which will count as salary for superannuation. The Commissioner has the authority to remove a composite from a role.

Role Summary
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of School of Criminal Intelligence Trainers.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
Role Description & Responsibilities
School of Criminal Intelligence (SCI) trainers will be required to undertake organisational training needs analyses; design, develop and deliver formal training curricula internally and externally through direct and virtual platforms, undertake curriculum review and revision, and conduct assessments against external and developmental criterion/qualifications.
Trainers will be required to develop high order proficiency with Hydra, Avalanche and iAspire virtual learning/training media.
SCI Trainers require superior written and oral communications skills, the capability to address large and small groups and the ability to work co-operatively within a diverse, national team.
Applicants will require personal confidence, a proven team working acumen as well as the ability to work independently and deliver results with mínimal supervision. The role will require domestic travel, working remotely both interstate and potentially overseas.
SCI Trainers will require the Diploma of Police Intelligence (POL50119 or POL52115) and the ability and commitment to attain the Advanced Diploma of Police Intelligence once formerly adopted (currently in scope).
SCI Trainers will require a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Essential Requirements
You must be an Australian Citizen.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Has contemporary knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise - Training and Intelligence.
Diploma of Police Intelligence (POL50119 or POL52115)
A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or the ability and commitment to attain one.
Desirable Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in relevant field.
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
