Job Summary:
Our client specializes in Concrete works and requires the expertise of an experienced Site Foreman. This position will entail being responsible for managing each unique project on site from start to complete.

This is a full-time position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Project planning - Plan out the job, considering timeframes, labour requirements, sub-trades, and materials.
- Project setup - setting up the Jobs On-Site
- Progress reporting - Maintain ongoing communication with the (client) general foreman on site, keeping them informed of progress, meeting hold points and dealing with small issues as they arise.
- Problem solving - dealing with issues as they arise, ensuring pro-active planning to avoid possible problems.
- Team management - Mentoring, training, and development of staff. Create and maintain a strong team, ensure correct staff availability each day. Ensure Staff accountability.
- Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
- Accountability - Oversee the standard of work completed on site and stand accountable for the work of the team. Hold pre pour inspections with staff. Ensure all sub-contract works are performed to the required
- Administration - upkeep of expense log. Contact suppliers and confirm orders for materials. i.e. Concrete, Steel, Pumps. Fill out all daily diaries and sign off all management plans required to complete the job.
- Concreting and Formwork
- Carry out all aspects of Concreting and Formwork, Including being hands on with all installs.
- Place and finish small to large pours to the Concretum Standard.
- Measuring concrete quantities. Ordering balances. Managing suppliers and ensuring quality product is supplied.
- Ensure appropriate steps have been taken before each pour ensure each job runs smoothly.
- Ensure vehicles are fully loaded each day or as required.
- Ensure all tools and materials are organized before arriving to site.
- Organize labor for the next day
- Oversee all equipment maintenance and repairs
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem solving and planning skills
- Mentoring the team to create a positive and successful workplace.
- Assisting in creating an enjoyable workplace
- Previous project management / Supervisor experience essential
- Experience in construction and concrete works
- Min 5 years of experience required

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
