Medical Receptionist/secretary for Specialist Medical Practice

**The Opportunity**
You are an experienced Receptionist/Medical Secretary looking for that ideal secure role working in surgery practice with a strong focus on patient care and service.
- _Visionare Eye Specialists clinic, located at 401 Milton Rd, Auchenflower_, Brisbane QLD.
- Work 4-5 days per week
**The Practice**
Our practice is a new State of the Art facility. The practice consists of a Principal Ophthalmic surgeon, administration and clinical staff. The practice encompasses services in Cataract, Cornea, Anterior Segment & Glaucoma Surgery.
The **Practice Management Software is Xestro** and it is a paperless environment so haveing experience with this software would be helpful.

**Previous Experience**:
- Must have recent experience working with Medical Specialists
- Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to multitask
- Must be able to think outside the square and use initiative
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional patient care.
- Excellent IT and computer skills.
**Duties include but are not limited to**:
- Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations
- Provide outstanding customer service both on the telephone and in person
- Efficient management of all patient data, clinical files and correspondence
- Schedule and management appointments for both doctors and clinical staff
- Co-ordinate referrals, test results and reports
- Patient invoicing and receipting (Medicare, DVA, private billing) and end of day reconciliations
- Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation

- Your personal presentation will be impeccable within the workplace
- You will comply with Health and Safety requirements
- You are willing to undertake additional training and professional development when required
- You will support diversity in the workplace, and help us foster a caring and supportive environment for staff, patients, families and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills are required along with computer and technology capability
**Skills and Abilities**
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Work in a team as well as autonomously
- Manage workflow, and delegate and prioritize appropriately
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong language skills and literacy
**This position requires our Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join us in either a part time or full time role as soon as possible.**

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
