We are not a boring logistics department inside a large retailer. We are a nimble, entrepreneurial, technology & data led team passionate about driving the growth of eCommerce by step changing the quality of last mile customer experience in Australia.

We are building best-in-class last-mile optimization technologies today and are exploring the solutions of tomorrow by investing in autonomous drones and other emerging technologies.
We are looking for a Group Product Manager who is able to work through the ambiguity of an early stage set of products, help shape the problem space and refine the opportunities to go after. In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Product Managers to deliver impact, fast, in alignment with the Last Mile business strategy.

**What you’ll do**
This key leadership role will drive the development of new technologies and processes to build a competitively differentiated last mile experience for all online customers.

Supporting the General Manager of Last Mile Optimisation & Technology, this role works on “horizon 2”, the next 1-3 years of our Last Mile Business and strategy. The role leads the Product Managers who work with their squads to build products that offer greater customer experiences such as shorter lead times, shorter delivery windows and more accurate order tracking while delivering profitable growth through competitive economics.

The Group Product Manager will partner and collaborate closely with leadership across engineering, architecture, design, network optimisation and operations to deliver value.

**You will also**:

- Lead a team of Product Managers to design the future solutions for our last mile process and technologies for the next 1-5 years.
- Foster a culture that focuses on outcomes, not outputs, and making great product decisions, fast, to get there.
- Partner with engineering, data, architecture, design, network optimisation and operations to drive significant business and customer benefits
- Embed the Last Mile business and product strategy so that all team members are aware of how to make great decisions that deliver the desired value for the business and customers. Recruit, onboard, coach and grow capabilities of direct reports so they are engaged and empowered in their role and have a clear career path at WooliesX.

**What you’ll bring**
Strong leadership, managing and coaching high achieving Product teams developing careers and building top talent in a large corporate environment.

You will also have:

- A proven track record of achieving excellent customer NPS and commercial outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams with multiple streams of work, across multiple business areas, with a focus on backend as well as frontend technologies.
- Highly data literate and passionate about making data-led decisions for today and the future.
- High IQ to lead and guide data and product teams to solve complex problems that other companies have not solved before.
- A great people leader who inspires their team to achieve far greater than the sum of its parts. A passion for technological excellence and continuous improvement, prepared to roll their sleeves up and support the team and understand the business from first principles.
