**Role purpose**

As Re’s Resource Manager you are responsible to manage the resource requirements for the design team. Resources need to be managed with a proactive approach, bringing forward solutions that focus on high design outcomes and cost efficiency.

This role is an integral and proactive part of the agency, creating an organised working environment that improves design outcomes, culture and over investment.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Resource Manager is a mid-weight position within Re. This role is focused on the oversight of all production processes and output within Re.

As Resource Manager at Re, you will use your resource management experience to manage the design capacity of Re. Your objective is to maintain high client service and designer satisfaction, proactivity identity resource bottlenecks, find solutions that have low impact to other projects and advise of project over burn. As Resource Manager you are responsible to ensure projects are briefed correctly and that the correct resource is used. As the Resource Manager you are accountable for the resource of each design team member, ensuring each team member is utilised to their capacity to drive the best possible creative outcomes.

You leverage your understanding of design to help identify and solve resource problems. You are skilled at identifying briefing errors and resource bottlenecks that may affect creative output. You proactively work to repair them through active communication. You partner effectively with the wider Re team to ensure on time, on budget, high quality creative outputs.

You will proactively get involved in all jobs at early stages, leverage your understanding of design and design processes, take ownership of resources and highlight any potential watch outs and opportunities to improve effectiveness. Key to this role is working closely with Account Management, Design Directors and Creative Directors to ensure that needs are planned, managed and met appropriately.

**A snapshot of what you'll do**
- Conduct daily WIP’s as required for any projects or clients requiring reactive planning
- Conduct regular check-ins with Account Managers and Designers to proactively identify upcoming issues
- Manage resources against allocated budgets, ensuring that the allocated Designer matches the signed SOW to avoid over investment
- Work with the Operations manager to solve resourcing challenges and find solutions prior to the weekly Utilisation, Resources and Freelancers meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss capacity across the organisation, manage any freelancer needs and flag any projects that are at risk of being over invested.
- Activity solve up-coming bottlenecks with clear communication to the involved teams
- Prioritise and de-prioritise projects as needed, communicating the impact effectively with mínimal impact to the projects revenue or design output
- Add value through reviewing briefs and timelines to advise the best use of designers time
