This dynamic opportunity will see you be responsible for assisting the RAA Group in the delivery and facilitation as required, of education programs and workshops within the areas of incident and risk management, control identification and control uplift and the promotion, education and review of major incident management and business continuity planning.
The role is responsible for working with Senior Leaders and Business Units to assist with uplift in risk and control maturity and to continuously improve the business continuity management program to meet business and regulatory expectations and requirements. In addition, you will:
- Assist with the maintenance of RAA and RAA Insurance’s respective risk management frameworks in accordance with business needs, best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the maintenance of the Group’s Disruptive Event and Business Continuity Management Framework and associated documents in accordance with business needs, best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitation of risk and control identification workshops.
- Assist in the preparation of relevant Risk Management reports and Business Continuity Management reporting to the Group’s Boards and Board Sub Committees.
- Manage the promotion of emergency management, business continuity planning and disaster recovery across the RAA Group in accordance with best practice and relevant APRA regulations.
- Conduct Post Incident Reviews on disruptive events, document all findings, recommendations and risk issues found as a result of the review and report issues to management for consideration and implementation of relevant actions.

For this role, we’re also looking for:
- Strong understanding of business continuity management practices and standards including ISO22301 (and ideally APRA regulations).
- Understanding of risk management and control assessments in a highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of (or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of) relevant legislation and / or Prudential Standards.
- Demonstrated experience in crafting policies and procedures.
- Proven experience in risk management and business continuity.
- Outstanding attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to facilitate workshops.
- Be an innovative thinker with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
