We are seeking a dynamic UX and Design Manager based at our Macquarie Park office who will be able to lead and own the visual identity of Metcash Food’s Editorial, Loyalty and eCommerce channels, and work across editorial, product and marketing to deliver key strategic projects, as well as drive incremental improvement across the visual narrative day-to-day. The role will work within the wider IGA Digital Channels Team to ideate and deliver creative design solutions that support brand continuity, action orientated design and storytelling in a variety of formats.

What you’ll do

Able to shape the visual narrative, identity and voice of IGA’s online channels and shopper focused communications.
Ideate & create editorial design solutions in cadence with the brand, marketing, product, and project teams.
Collaborate on projects from start to finish including product and delivery teams, to understand project goals and establish comprehensive design briefs.
Manage design requests and feedback from stakeholders.
Able to develop style guides for content across all digital channels and m anage team of design, UX and UI team members.

What you’ll bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Design, Interactive Media Design, Multimedia, Visual Communications Design, or similar.
Minimum five years’ working within a Digital Team (a mixture of agency and inhouse is a bonus)
Minimum of three years managing multidisciplinary designers
Experience creating omni-channel design solutions for both on and off platform - A solid understanding of digital production and appreciation of front-end development techniques.
Proficient with industry-standard design tools (Figma [preferred], Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.).
Excellent verbal / written skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts effectively to justify decisions made to meet the brief.
Ability to create strong visual and motion designs that incorporate video, still images and text also considering UI, typography, motion, behaviour, and information architecture.
