National Coordinator - International Students
**About Power To Change Australia**
We have been building sustainable movements that see people connected to Jesus, built in their faith and sent out to do the same since 1967. Our strategies connect with people on university campuses, in high schools, with families and churches and even overseas.
We are Power to Change, although you may have known us as Student Life or Campus Crusade for Christ. Power to Change is part of an international network known as Cru Global. Together we have around 17,000 missionaries serving in over 190 countries.
We know that true change, through the person of Jesus is more powerful than anything. Ready to make your own change? For us, it is More Than a Job
We care deeply about our mission. Our work is motivated by the love of God and his Great Commission. We live and work with bold faith, we thrive together with real teamwork and we continually seek to grow in our character, and in fruitfulness.
More about the Power to Change vision and purpose can be found _here.._
**About the role**
Over 30% of the students at Australian universities are international students, from many countries of the world. Power to Change wants to serve these international students and be their “home away from home” while they are here in Australia. We believe one of the best ways to serve such students is to help them understand God’s love for them and to experience that love through Christian community. We also hope that they will pass on this message of love and hope to their peers, family and friends both here in Australia and in their countries of origin.
We know that most international students reside in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane and so we seek to have two teams in each of these capitals helping international students know that God loves them and grow in faith and leadership. Currently there are three such teams.
The National Coordinator - International Students is a strategic leadership role to provide administrative coordination to the Power to Change ministry to international students in Australia. The role involves planning, directing and facilitating the international student teams in setting national direction, collaboration, peer learning, professional development, connection, best practice and growth. The National Coordinator will work with Area Directors and Team leaders on staff and financial management to determine and move forward issues relating to the national International Student Ministry. The role also represents Power to Change in its dealings with Bridges in the USA, at conventions and seminars, and provides coordination and overall administration management with these external stakeholders.

- Identifying and analysing management issues affecting the operations of ISM, and preparing relevant information and reports to work with Area Directors and management to better understand ISM and its needs.
- Leading and managing administrative staff within ISM to facilitate sharing & efficient adoption of best practices in ministering to the needs of international students. This includes analyzing, developing and implementing refined ministry tools, adopting and/or adapting tools & training guidelines and ensuring the effective operations of student conferences for international student attendees.
- Providing administrative planning and operational support for national ISM conferences.
- Strategising and workings towards building an ISM team in Melbourne, drawing upon partnership resources from other countries and also upon ISM staff here in Australia. After this, we aim to have a second team in each of Brisbane and Melbourne.
- Encouraging partnerships with churches local to each ISM team whilst representing Power to Change Australia.
