Transport for NSW keeps our State moving by providing safe, integrated and efficient transport systems. We put our customers at the centre of everything we do - and we do a lot. We connect people, communities and industry and manage how they use our road, rail and maritime networks and services, and even active modes like walking and cycling. The work we do connects the journeys you take every day.

We are a state government organisation made up of more than 28,000 people and we're in the middle of delivering the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. We work across planning, policy and procurement, harnessing data and technology to develop smarter and more adaptive transport solutions.

That means job opportunities in metropolitan and regional areas right across NSW - you have the chance to be part of creating a lasting legacy that will benefit generations to come.

**About the Division**

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

**The opportunity**

Our team currently has two positions available for **Community Engagement Managers **in the Community and Place branch. This role is responsible for the delivery of a full range of internal and external strategic collateral across programs that build relationships with customers, communities, and stakeholder groups across NSW.

**Though our work location is flexible - you can be based in Sydney or regionally for this role -_ it is a pre-requisite that applicants possess a current motor vehicle driver’s license. The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours and/or travel regionally within NSW on occasion. **_

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Communications, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialist advice in the management of engagement approaches on projects and programs across the Transport portfolio.

As one of three Engagement Managers, you will be leading a small team of one/two communication and engagement specialists to deliver this work.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic communications and engagement plans, programs, projects, and initiatives
- Work across the cluster to manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of best practice communication and engagement strategies to effectively engage a range of different communities and key stakeholders

You are a proven people leader, able to build and maintain relationships and partnerships easily. You have sound influential capabilities, and you thrive on navigating multiple, often conflicting, deadlines and priorities. You maintain a high standard of work; love a challenge and you are a forward-thinker.

Having previously worked in a similar environment where you have made complex judgments on strategies to maximise preparedness for future requirements, you understand each decision made can affect the outcomes of customer service, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

This role would be well-suited to a highly motivated and strategically minded individual, who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will be empowered with flexible working hours, support, and the resources you need to achieve outstanding outcomes that you can be proud of. This will be a fantastic opportunity to make your mark and create success with a passionate, collaborative, and hard-working team behind you.
