**About us**
**The opportunity**
To support several major multi-million-dollar projects, we have created a role for a **Consultant **and **Senior Consultant** with a background in communications, social sciences, public relations, journalism, or social sustainability.
The location for these two roles is hybrid between our **Newcastle office **with the **option to work from home** if desired.
Day to day, you will:
- Develop high quality communications materials (written and verbal) and engaging public documents for a wide range purposes and audiences (e.g. newsletters, factsheets, advertisements, flyers, display boards, notifications, social copy, web copy, and presentations)
- Support complex engagement processes and community consultation activities and events, including in-person engagement with property owners, community members and industry groups
- Undertake background research to support the team
- Analyse material and draft/edit reports
- Prepare demographic and stakeholder analyses
You will strive to become a thought-leader and deliver high quality, innovative and creative solutions, with a focus on helping your clients deliver sustainable, positive social changes within their local communities.
**Examples of our recent work**
- **Australian Antarctic Division** - consulting countries across the globe on a masterplan for the development of the station, including workshops, and visual materials to communicate complex information and promote informed engagement
- ** Bushfire Clean-up NSW **- supporting NSW Government engagement with communities affected by natural disasters
- ** Inland Rail** - long-standing communications and engagement support to ARTC for the Inland Rail project, a 1,700km freight line to connect Melbourne and Brisbane
- ** Western Sydney Airport and Aerotropolis **- communication and engagement services on the Western Sydney Airport from inception to construction
- ** Art Gallery of NSW** - communications program to build community awareness and excitement about the Sydney Modern, a landmark new building for art, performance, and film
- ** CBD and Southeast Light Rail **- developing and implementing communications and engagement to support this 12km transformation project through some of Sydney’s most densely populated areas
**What we'll love about you**
You are a self-starter and a team player, and you want to engage with government agencies and communities in the design and delivery of major infrastructure and urban development projects.
At the Consultant level, you have at least 3 years of experience in stakeholder engagement and/or communications. A Senior Consultant will typically have a minimum of 7 years' relevant experience.
In addition, you will bring:
- Familiarity with communication tools such as communication plans, fact sheets and social media
- Outstanding writing skills (you love to write) and exceptional interpersonal skills (you can work with anyone)
