
Procurement Officer

**The Role**
The Procurement Officer is part of the Finance Team and assists with the planning, development, and delivery of a diverse range of procurement services that achieve our strategic objectives, financial targets, and business requirements. The Procurement Officer will play a key role in preparation of and issuing of supplier agreements, purchasing activities including raising and receipt of orders for replenishment of supply. In this role you will provide expertise and assist with sourcing and managing procurement activities and will take administrative task associate with the day-to-day operation of Centacare’s procurement requirements.

**What you need to bring**
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, business or administration, or other related qualification
- Experience in supply chain management, analysis and performance reporting
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong business acumen & negotiation skills
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid driver’s licence
- Demonstrated experience working within a procurement discipline in a NFP setting is desirable
- Ability to so some out of hours work when required in order to meet the requirement of the role
