**About the Role**:
As the Health, Safety and Environment Advisor you will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture by providing professional support, advice, and assistance to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, standards and council’s Safety Management System.

**What your day looks like**:

- Provide HSE advice and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in risk assessments, implement risk control measures, and promote safe work practices.
- Deliver HSE training, including inductions, emergency procedures, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and incident investigations to ensure HSE compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, support compliance with SafetyOne Standards, and assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.

**The Ingredients for Success**:

- Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field (Certificate IV or higher); First Aid certification is a plus.
- 2-3 years' experience in a Workplace Health and Safety advisory role within a high-risk environment, with knowledge of Australian Workplace Health and Safety legislation and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of employees.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of risk management and incident reporting processes.
- Experience in FMCG facilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Workplace Health and Safety management software, with experience using risk assessment tools and safety auditing systems.
