Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking a Transport Controller to be based at their distribution centre in south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

**THE ROLE**

The primary role of the Transport Controller is to support our route delivery network in meeting daily delivery requirements of customers in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for training, guidance and contractor management to ensure all customers receive their beverages in full, on time and in a safe and sustainable manner.

**Key responsibilities for this role include**:

- **Delivery CPC**: Monitoring route delivery and costs
- **TRIFR**: Reporting & investigating hazards, safety walks / conversations, Audit score, Vehicle & audit compliance
- **Training & competency**: Training audits of drivers and contractors
- **Customer Service (Internal and External)**: raising service tickets, cash/stock variances, returns, on time performance and customer feedback
- **End of month settlement**

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Previous experience in FMCG industry would be advantageous
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong Transport / Contractor management experience
- Strong business acumen
- Great communication skills
- Customer Focus and process driven
