At SCC we invest in our employees and have an exciting newly created position for a Learning Experience Designer. The Learning Experience Designer is responsible and accountable for the overall planning, organisation and development of learning programs that align with SCC’s priorities and business goals and will lead and manage projects that lift the organisation’s capacity and capability.

Your role will include:

- Designing, developing, and evaluating learning experiences, encompassing digital, hybrid, and in-person formats.
- Working closely with the learning and organisational development teams and key stakeholders to lead the identification of future strategic and operational workforce skill requirements, and ensure these are integrated into existing Learning frameworks, processes, and tools
- In consultation with key stakeholders, develop and regularly review an annual training matrix that meets SCC’s needs.
- Create learning material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc) that enhances learning retention and transfer
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop appropriate assessment instruments
- Review, edit and format existing learning and other materials to ensure a high standard and brand appropriateness

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- Relevant qualifications in Learning /Education / Instructional Design /eLearning or related discipline

**Experience & Skills**:
**Essential**:

- 3 years learning design experience (inclusive of a portfolio of previous learning design projects) that demonstrates your skills and experience and ensures impactful and accessible learning journeys
- Sound knowledge of adult learning principles and learning design methodology and human centred design to create bespoke digital, hybrid, and in-person content
- Experience in leading and/or supporting the design and/or implementation of organisation-wide learning initiatives, with demonstrated capability uplift outcomes
- Proven ability to maintain a growth mindset, acknowledge criticism, encourage critical thinking and gather feedback when faced with ambiguity
- Ability to produce high quality work which contains data analysis, along with relevant, impactful and realistic recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to build collaborative relationships, adapt messaging for different audiences, and liaise with others in a simple and relatable manner
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, set priorities, manage multiple projects ensuring deliverables are appropriately scoped and delivered on time
- Solid knowledge of activity development software and at least one Learning Management System

***Desirable**:

- Experience in developing face-to-face and online training content including the development of storyboards
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with publishing formats such as SCORM, and the use of content authoring tools such as Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate.
- An understanding of the Aged Care, Health Care or Not-For-Profit environment
