With a newly upgraded facility, production line and workforce, Urban Caravans is positioning itself to continue supplying their highly sought-after OFF-ROAD and On-ROAD caravans across Australia.

We are now seeking a qualified and experienced Design Draftsperson to join our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare and develop detailed CAD drawings, plans, and technical documentation for caravan structures, furniture, and components.

Convert design specifications and sketches into production-ready drawings for CNC.

Produce accurate 3D models and visualisations to support design approval, marketing, and customer communication.

Create 3D videos of the caravans for better understanding from the customer perspective current and revised versions of the model.

Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure designs meet manufacturing, compliance, and ADR requirements.

Review, check, and revise drawings to maintain accuracy, conformity, and version control.

Maintain and archive design documentation, drawings, and specifications.

Assist in the development of improved manufacturing methods and product enhancements through design input.

Skills & Experience

Diploma (or higher) in Engineering/Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.

Experience in CAD drafting, preferably in manufacturing, , construction, automotive or caravan/marine industries.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Lumion software.

Ability to create high-quality 3D renderings for marketing purposes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.

Knowledge of caravan design, manufacturing processes, or ADR compliance will be highly regarded.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
