Risk, Ohs and Wellbeing Manager

Partner with managers, providing advice on OHS matters

**About the role**:
- Be a trusted advisor and partner with managers on risk, occupational health, safety and wellness matters.
- Develop, maintain, review and support high quality OHS programs, policies and procedures.
- Work closely with management and employees to foster a strong safety culture.
- Manage and maintain the organisational risk register.
- Manage and administer the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
- Manage and administer WorkCover to ensure a best practice approach to OHS and risk prevention.
- Provide regulatory and compliance guidance and convene OHS management committee meetings.
- Contribute to Board, Board sub-committees and Executive reports.
- Coach and support elected health and safety representatives in performing their duties
**About you**:
Ideally you will bring with you:
- Experience building trusted relationships and developing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of Return to Work (RTW) Management, RTW injury management process and the rights and obligations of injured workers.
- Experience in risk assessments and identification, control measures, health and safety system audits, hazard and compliance audits and workplace inspections.
- Understanding of Risk Management and root cause analysis including the use of risk/incident management systems.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or Human Resource Management.
- Experience in a similar role in the health, aged care or community sector preferred but not essential.
