Our Client **Southern Cross Care** is looking for **Support Workers** across Perth's Northern, Eastern, Southern & Western Suburbs.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Southern Cross Care is committed to sensibly spending government funding and re-investing surplus funds for the benefit of its clients and residents, through expanding the location and the types of services Southern Cross Care can provide to West Australians. Southern Cross Care is purpose to provide an integrated and holistic approach to meeting the health, wellness, care, and accommodation needs of over 3000 older West Australians.

CareBridge is an innovative digital-based Aged Care workforce platform driven to create seamless employment opportunities and interactions for you with the Aged Care Providers.

**About the role**

You’ll be part of a broader group that provides quality & person-focused care in people’s homes. We’re proud to offer tailored services and make the time we spend with clients as valuable as possible. If you join us, you'll be helping us enable them to live at home safely & comfortably for as long as possible

You'll need to be comfortable spending a fair amount of your day out on the road, driving in between clients' homes, as our greatest needs are located in:

- Mount Lawley
- Maylands
- Bayswater
- North Perth
- Fremantle

We’ll be asking you to:

- Assist with daily living activities - cleaning, personal care, medication monitoring, meal preparation, shopping & social support.
- Regularly liaise with our Care Coordinators to provide updates on client care needs.
- Carefully follow client care plans, and log activities via smartphone.
- Develop trust and maintain a positive rapport with our clients & their families.
- You’re comfortable working on your own, and more importantly, care about our clients as much as we do.
- You may already have experience in aged or community care, and love what you do. Or, perhaps you have experience taking care of a family member / friend, and would like to start a career in home care.
- Building relationships with people comes naturally, and you know that good Support Workers can make such a difference in the quality of someone's life.
- Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise & multi task.
- Great interpersonal & communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn & use new software for record keeping.
- First Aid Certificate.
- National Police Clearance (current within 6 months)
- Immunisation record (Flu & COVID19)
- Relevant qualifications, or willingness to undertake studies whilst working with us
- A completed pre-employment medical questionnaire

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
