**About the role**
We are looking for a People & Culture Assistant to join our Head Office in Arundel.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in exciting HR projects and initiatives, while gaining exposure to all points of the employee life cycle through daily operational activities. You will be supported by a warm and welcoming People & Culture Manager who is passionate about providing development opportunities to you.
This role would be well suited to an experienced administrator who is interested in developing their career in Human Resources, or a HR/Business student who is hoping to gain practical experience.
This is a part-time role working 3 days per week (approximately 15 hours). Flexible working hours are available.
**A day in this role may include**:
- Assisting in all points of employee life cycle - including onboarding, induction, performance reviews and offboarding.
- Assisting with administration of Workplace Health & Safety processes.
- Assisting the People & Culture Manager with reporting, drafting correspondence, projects and ad-hoc tasks.
- Maintaining records for staff, volunteers and students.
- Coordinate background checks including Working with Children Checks, Worker Screening checks and Police Checks
- Assisting with our annual staff conference coordination set up and collaboration on agenda

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:
- Strong administrative skills, with experience in administering Human Resources, Compliance, Safety or Recruitment activities preferred.
- Effective communication skills with a positive and inclusive attitude.
- A qualification in Human Resources/Business (or working towards) would be highly regarded.
- As a child-safe organisation, you must have a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Certificate before commencing with Bravehearts.
