**About the role**:
As the People and Culture Advisor, you will be a true HR Generalist. Working closely with the State Operations Manager and Branch Managers, your role will be hands on and see you involved in the day-to-day operations of the South East QLD business, supporting approximately 150 employees plus 22 subcontracting crews.

**Key Responsibilities;**
- Provide timely HR advice, support and consultancy to Managers and employees
- Workforce planning and labour forecasting
- Provide workforce reporting to managers as required
- Facilitate disciplinary conversation and processes ensuring best practice, compliance and legislative requirements are adhered to
- Be responsible for the end to end recruitment process of allocated white collar positions
- Liaise with the Return to Work and Injury Management Officer to support the field employees through Workcover processes
- Willingness to travel to branches to attend toolbox meetings and meetings as required from Sunshine Coast to Northern Rivers (Cents per KM travel reimbursement)
- Ensure alignment of the vision and values of Buildsafe in relation to the development of People and Culture strategies

**Selection Criteria;**
- Demonstrated experience in a Generalist role (minimum of 2 years)
- Tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Previous Employee Relations and industrial Relations experience within the blue collar space
- Coaching skills at both an organisational and individual level
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities of the organisation
- A proactive, professional and customer focussed approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes whilst positively contributing to a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality
- True culture carrier and leader
- Strong computer, analytical and problem-solving skills
