Exciting opportunity for a Planning & Governance Lead to join a State Government Team

**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for a Planning & Governance Lead to join their team. This role requires you to work full time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced a Planning & Governance Lead your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Review, support and promote all business submissions
- Monitor risks associated with deferral or delay of the asset investment program
- Review, analyse provide advice and support appropriation requests
- Develop and implement assurance reviews
- Plan and coordinate the state budget and mid-year review development functions
- Identify, revies, analyse and monitor agency risk management and business continuity issues and trends
- Prepare reports and advice to relevant governance committees
- Develop and maintain collaborative and collegial working relationships
- Plan, manage and report other duties as assigned
- Any other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in leadership, management of resources, governance, business continuity, risk management and planning to deliver organisational outcomes
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to focus on the desired objectives and ensure negotiations remain on track
- Ability to provide comprehensive and credible advice
- Experience in investigating issues, analysing data and undertaking research
