**THE POSITION**

A Facilities Services Team Member is responsible in the first instance to the Facilities and Property Manager and through them, the Chief Operating Officer and ultimately the CEO and Executive Principal. All staff are employed by the CEO and Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC.

All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church Day school for girls from EY-12

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- The Team member may be requested to carry out the following tasks at MBC and MBBC. A vehicle is provided for transit between Colleges.
- Undertake general facilities and maintenance tasks as directed by the Facilities and Property Manager. This may include minor trades work such as:

- General repairs and maintenance
- Handyperson tasks
- General cleaning
- Helpdesk requests
- Moving furniture and equipment
- Collect and remove waste
- Move deliveries (supplies)directing traffic on campus
- Escort staff and community members to vehicles after hours when requested to ensure their safety
- Setting up for Assemblies, Chapel Services, sporting activities and other special events when required.
- Actively contribute to a safety citizenship culture upholding health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practices.
- Perform a security check to ensure that the College has been secured following events held onsite
- Be present on campus for events as required
- Open and close the College when meetings and other events are held during their shift.
- Other duties as directed from time to time.

- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Assertive and personable with high level of customer service skills
- Ability to use initiative.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Good communication skills with all levels of staff and visitors
- Ability to utilise technology such as helpdesk system
- Demonstrate respect for and pride in physical environment of the College.
- This position involves mostly outdoor work.
- High level of physical activity is required.
- Ability to bend and lift is essential.
- Operation of machinery is necessary.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- Labourer experience is required.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
- Working with Children (Positive Blue Card) or ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
- Drivers licence.

**CONDITIONS AND SALARY**
- Rostered on as required by Property and Facilities Manager.
- Uniform provided as per EBA.
- Salary paid as Labourer Classification as per the _Moreton Bay Enterprise Agreement._
- Casual Hourly rate + shift penalties
- All other conditions are as per the _Moreton Bay College Enterprise Agreement._
