About You

We are searching for an ambitious Quality Improvement Super star who is committed to utilising their knowledge and experience to support our centre Managers to exceed the standard of Early Education in Australia.

As the Quality Improvement Co ordinator, you will be a part of the Operations team supporting a range of Centres where the Centre Manager may be absent for the medium term on leave or where extra support is required, you will be empowered to run an efficient and smooth operation ensuring the organisations expectations are upheld.

You will be supported and motivated at every step of your career whilst having the full support of your Management team (Operations, Accounts, Curriculum advisor and Marketing) mentoring and guiding you to be the best you can be.

About the role

This hybrid role involves being an operational support resource for our Centres across Melbourne.

Reporting to the Quality Improvement Manager, you will drive a range of teams to embrace the Astra Values and aim for excellence in day-to-day practice.
- Lead and mentor Educators to achieve excellence and maintain strong professional relationships with one another.
- Facilitate team meetings that ensure professional dialogue around children's learning, professional practice, curriculum, quality and compliance to meet quality and compliance outcomes.
- Oversee the team to deliver a high-quality cycle of planning and curriculum.
- Provide motivational mentoring to Educators to ensure teams are flourishing.
- Develop and lead high quality professional learning with a focus on improved professional practice, teaching and learning
- Participate in the operational strategic plan
- Conduct quality and compliance reviews using multiple sources of evidence, data and feedback.
- Ensure Services comply with the National Quality Framework and Education and Care Services Regulations and Law
- Day-to-day management of all compliance matters ensuring all obligations of the approved provider are met
- Ensure quality and compliance matters are functional and meet regulations
- Successful conversion of services to 'Meeting' or 'Exceeding' as per the National Quality Framework
- Manage all staff concerns and general retention strategies.
- Lead the A&R process and collaborate with the formation of the QIP.

You will hold:

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Children's Services or Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- A valid Working with Children Check
- Supervisor Certificate
- Previous experience supporting a range of Centres for the short to medium term (preferred but not essential)
- Strong understanding of Regulation/Legislation, plus Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS) essential
- Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
- Strong team leadership abilities with experience leading, inspiring and developing a team of professional educators
- Relationships focus
- Strong knowledge of computer skills including Qikkids,
