The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_What you’ll be doing_**

Lead the strategic direction and provide leadership for development and implementation of research initiatives on behalf of the organisation, including the strategy setting and management of all granting schemes, strategic research priority and resource investments, and partnerships. A priority of this role is to achieve the goals of NSW Government Future strategic initiatives and the NSW Cancer Plan.

**_ Essential requirements_**
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline and/or relevant experience in a health/science field.
- Extensive communications skills and experience working directly with customers/patients in a customer service or ideally health environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in small work group teams to provide a high-quality service.
- Experience in managing stressful or critical customer/patient interactions with mínimal direction.
