**The opportunity**
We have a full time open term opportunity for a Portfolio Analyst to join QIC’s Liquid Markets Group in Brisbane.
In this career defining role you will:

- Contributing to the management of the Options Solutions, Opportunistic / Systematic Value Add, Equity and Commodity mandates
- Contributing to the delivery of LMG’s research agenda with a focus on option-based solutions, portfolio implementation / rebalancing and opportunistic / systematic value add strategies
- Work across QIC to create solutions and efficiencies to portfolio management problems
- Undertaking risk analysis, performance monitoring and attribution to improve portfolio outcomes
- Informing and educating the wider team on research and portfolio outcomes and future developments
- Liaising with industry representatives to identify and understand investment opportunities and risks to gain insights on current market pricing and practices

You will also have the following attributes:

- Graduate (Post-Graduate preferred) qualifications in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Actuarial or another relevant field
- Knowledge of global economics and financial markets
- Demonstrable coding skills, preferably Matlab, SQL and/or VBA
- Knowledge of common financial data systems such as Bloomberg
- Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin or similar portfolio management systems
- Understanding of asset pricing models, portfolio construction and other quantitative techniques
- Highly developed communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Ability to represent QIC to external parties
