Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of 5 engineers, driving technical excellence across the Frollo platform. You’ll help shape the technical direction, ensure secure and reliable systems, and support client integrations as a key expert in Consumer Data Right. You will work closely with Product, Sales, and Executive teams to align engineering efforts with business goals and deliver great developer experiences.

**A day in the life might be something like this**:

- Lead & Scale High-Impact Engineering Teams - Manage and mentor a team of 5 engineers while driving technical excellence across Frollo's Ruby on Rails/Postgres backend platform
- Shape Technical Vision & Architecture - Define best practices and architect scalable solutions that directly support company OKRs and business growth objectives
- Drive CDR Innovation & Compliance - Become Frollo's key technical expert on Consumer Data Right standards, supporting sales conversations and client integrations in the fintech space
- Multiply Team Impact Through Leadership - Foster continuous improvement culture, create personalized development plans, and operate as a force multiplier for engineering capability
- Own End-to-End Platform Excellence - Ensure bank-level security, comprehensive testing coverage, and robust observability across all products while maintaining high code quality standards
- Bridge Technical & Business Strategy - Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Executive teams to align engineering efforts with commercial objectives and client success
- Build Developer-First Solutions - Work with mobile teams on API design and support client development teams in seamlessly integrating Frollo's platform

**The ideal profile were looking for might be something like this**:

- People leadership experience.
- Deep demonstrated experience of developing highly secure backend systems using Ruby, Python, Java or PHP;
- Expertise in scalable database design and SQL query performance optimisation;
- Ability to own coding standards. Creation of best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards)
- SQL DB experience (Postgres / MSSQL / mySQL )
