**Position Overview**
We are looking for a **kind and reliable Female Mental Health Disability Support Worker** to provide **backup morning-shift support** for an independent female client currently residing in the **Mental Health Unit at Griffith University Hospital, Gold Coast**.
The scheduled backup shifts are on:
**Mon 8, 15, 22, 29 December and Wed 17, Fri 19, Sat 20 December 2025.**
**Additional shifts may also be arranged** depending on availability, performance, and client needs.
**Paid training will be provided** before the first shift to ensure you feel confident and supported in the role.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide gentle, person-centred, and trauma-informed support aligned with the client’s mental health goals.
- Encourage participation in community, social, and recreational activities.
- Support emotional well-being and promote independence.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and coordinators.
- Maintain clear and accurate shift notes and documentation.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health needs is highly valued.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Reliable car, open driver’s licence, and comprehensive insurance.
- Warm, patient, and professional communication skills.
- Availability for the listed December morning shifts.
