**Mental Health Support Workers - Gold Coast**

Magnus Health is a NDIS registered company that provides in-home support to participants with a range of mental and some physical disabilities. We are seeking compassionate female support workers who are wanting to work in mental health and disability support from Mudgeeraba to Ormeau.

**You will need to be available for some or all of the following hours**:

- **6am until 2pm or other day shifts as required**:

- **2pm until 10pm with a sleepover (10pm to 6am sleeping)**:

- **10pm until 6am awake overnight shifts**

**Essential for the role**:

- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Blue Card/Yellow Card/ NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Queensland Driver's Licence
- Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant Or be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements) _**or willingness to obtain**_
- English as preferred language
- **Experience working within the Mental Health sector is desirable.**_

**About the role...**

Within this role you will be expected to perform direct care duties with compassion and professionalism. These duties may include:

- Transporting to appointments
- Providing companionship and support
- Assistance with daily hygiene (showering, dressing, toilet)
- Assistance in meal preparation and shopping
- Daily activities such as laundry or cleaning
- Facilitating community participation and inclusion
- Prompting positive routines and behaviours in a cooperative and respectful manner
- **Supervision** of medication
- Following Care Plans and assisting in working towards NDIS goals
- SIL Shifts
