Ict Operations Leader

**Duration: 9 months Fixed-Term Contract (March
- December 2025)**

**Location: Summer Hill, NSW**

**Role Purpose**:
Our client, a leading Christian school seeks an experienced ICT professional to step into a critical leadership role within their ICT department. This 9-month contract position will oversee the ICT Service Delivery, Infrastructure, and Audio Visual teams, ensuring the smooth operation of technology across the school.

The ICT Operations Leader will play a crucial role in leading and managing the day-to-day functions of the ICT department, allowing the Director of ICT to focus on strategy, project management, and policy. This role demands a high level of ICT knowledge and a deep understanding of how ICT is organized and deployed across the school.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Implement and deliver the ICT School Strategy, leading the Service Delivery, Infrastructure, and Audio Visual teams.
- Oversee the design, management, and implementation of ICT infrastructure and service projects.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the ICT department, ensuring support and project outcomes are achieved within agreed service levels.
- Develop and maintain a Professional Development framework for the ICT Services Team.
- Develop and maintain a strong and harmonious ICT team culture.
- Manage the financial aspects of ICT Operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Create and maintain a customer service culture supported by effective and efficient service delivery.
- Manage the documentation, electronic resources, and formal records required by the school.
- Oversee and provide direction on the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
- Review and monitor network and server performance and develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
- Oversee and provide direction on the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of a Standard Operating Environment (SOE).
- Oversee and provide direction on the school's ICT hardware requirements.
- Oversee and manage the ICT Audio Visual Services.
- Oversee and provide direction in the delivery of all relevant ICT Audio Visual projects.
- Oversee and provide direction regarding the logístical, communication, and preparation aspects of Audio Visual requirements for school events.

**Requirements**:
**Essential Skills**:

- Proven experience in leading and managing ICT teams in the education sector
- Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework for IT service management.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including cloud infrastructure management, serverless computing, and cloud security.
- Expertise in cybersecurity best practices, including threat assessment, vulnerability management, intrusion detection, and data loss prevention.
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies.
- Proven ability to manage IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.

**Desirable**:

- A valid Working with Children Check number.
- A valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate or COVID-19 Vaccine Medical Contraindication Exemption.
