Switchboard Operator

**About the role**
Work with flexible work arrangements with both work from home and office at Docklands and at Forest Hill on occasion. We at NEC are looking for an experienced Switchboard operator, who enjoys working on a mid to high-volume switchboard, servicing customers in a professional and timely manner. In this role you will be responsible for all internal and external calls, for both the Victorian Government switchboard. The switchboard is open between 8am-6pm and a permanent shift will be allocated after training
**About you**
- Excellent telephone manner, communication skills and customer service
- Demonstrated experience operating a busy switchboard with high and consistent call volume.
- Able to handle most calls in a measured timeframe
- Computer literate to intermediate level
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, including an ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and manage a varied workload, in a busy professional environment
- Enjoy problem solving, working harmoniously and cooperatively with other people, and working independently at all times without constant supervision.
