Zoes Village is a service for 1 set up to offer quality person centred supports for a single young female living with complex disabilities. ZVPL's goal is to support her to live a good life within in community.

**About the Role**:
Zoe’s Village Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented Team Leader with excellent communication and writing skills to lead a small, dedicated team providing high-quality home-based support to a young female client with disabilities. This role offers consistent work hours of approx. 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. The position involves active shifts with the client, as well as leadership of the support team. We’re looking for someone who is committed long-term to this important role and able to provide full personal care for the client, who is nonverbal and has intellectual impairment.

If you have experience working with nonverbal and intellectually impaired clients, and are confident in providing hands-on support, using rostering tools, and other technology, or are willing to learn and quickly adapt to new systems, we’d love to hear from you Additionally, experience with behaviour support is highly valued, as the role involves managing and addressing complex behaviours associated with intellectual disabilities.

A key part of this role is also ensuring that our client is supported in accessing the community safely and meaningfully, promoting independence and social inclusion.

Additionally, experience with NDIS Registration, invoicing, audits, and compliance is highly desirable. The Team Leader will also play a role in maintaining compliance with NDIS guidelines and regulations, as well as recruiting staff, onboarding, inducting new staff, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- **Lead & Manage Support Team**: Plan, direct, train, roster, and maintain a small team of support staff, ensuring consistent, person-centred care for a young female client with disabilities.
- **Recruiting Staff**: Participate in the recruitment of new staff members, ensuring they meet the requirements and values of Zoe’s Village.
- **Onboarding & Inducting New Staff**: Oversee the onboarding and induction process for new staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and training to deliver high-quality care.
- **Active Shifts with Client**: Provide full personal care and hands-on support during shifts, including meal support, hygiene assistance, mobility, and other daily activities.
- **Community Access Support**: Assist the client in accessing the community, including accompanying them on outings, facilitating participation in social activities, and promoting independence and inclusion in community settings.
- **Plan & Direct Day-to-Day Operations**: Organise and manage the client’s activities, appointments, and routines while maintaining effective communication with the support team.
- **Training & Development**: Lead training sessions and performance reviews for staff to ensure the highest standards of care and professional growth.
- **Coordinate Appointments & Medical Care**: Book and confirm medical and therapy appointments for the client. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure all staff are informed of any updates.
- **Support Implementation**: Ensure that strategies of support, including communication strategies for nonverbal clients, are followed and updated as needed. Communicate any changes to staff promptly.
- **Health & Safety**: Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for both the client and staff. Conduct risk assessments and manage incidents effectively.
- **Technology Use**: Confidently use rostering tools, and other relevant software to manage shifts, appointments, and care plans—or be willing to quickly learn and adapt to these tools to ensure smooth team communication and operations.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensure every aspect of the client’s care, scheduling, and communication is handled with precision and accuracy.
