**Part Time Bookkeeper Required**
An experienced bookkeeper (minimum 5 years’ experience) is required for a part time position for a small to medium size business located at Erskine Park. As the Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial records primarily focusing on accuracy with the utmost integrity while adhering to financial regulations and legislation. Responsibilities will include but not limited to accounts payable, receivable, payroll, bank and other reconciliations, prepare & manage excel spreadsheets, budgeting, preparation & lodgement of Payroll Tax returns, PAYG Withholding Instalments & Quarterly BAS returns. Your proficiency in MYOB Accounting & Payroll/ Single Touch Payroll software, Excel & Word are essential. Must be able to follow and administer awards for employees. The position requires an all-rounder with a vast array of experience and ability to address tasks with accuracy and integrity. Experience in the long day childcare sector would be an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts & all financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage & process payroll using single touch payroll within MYOB, including managing employee records and the employees’ progression through award pay levels.
- Preparation & lodgement of PAYG Instalment & Business Activity statement returns.
- Preparation & lodgement of employee Super Liabilities.
- Preparation & lodgement of Payroll Tax returns.
- Manage, track & reconcile Income.
- Manage track & reconcile Government Funding.
- Prepare and manage Excel spreadsheets.
- Analyse and prepare annual budgets.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to follow established accounting procedures strictly.
Bookkeeper Qualifications and Skills:
- Cert IV Accounting & Bookkeeping.
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience essential.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with MYOB software essential.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.
- Prepare & lodge monthly PAYG Withholding Instalments & Quarterly BAS returns.
- Prepare & submit employee superannuation liabilities.
- Prepare & submit payroll tax returns.
- Communicate with company Accountant.
- Excellent numerical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of payroll and using Single Touch Payroll.
- Expert analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare and manage Excel spreadsheets and have excellent computer skills.
- Able to work independently, be flexible and willing to take on a varied number of responsibilities.
Working with Children Check is required for this position(WWCC)
This position has been identified as a child-related position under Child Protection Laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, applicants need to provide OMCC with a valid copy of the WWCC number.
