**About the role**
Cbus is seeking an innovative, positive, agile team player, who is a self-starter with excellent stakeholder management, influencing and project management skills to lead this exciting new chapter of Cbus’ stewardship program.

Cbus is a universal owner with long term and very diversified portfolios, and as such we are exposed to the volatility and performance consequences of economy wide environmental and social impact.

Our recently approved innovative forward looking stewardship framework deploys our resources and influence as an investor to protect and preserve value for our members. The framework has clear prioritisation principles and focusses less on volume of activity and more on, strategy development, analysis and alignment with real world outcomes in our members best financial interests.

Stewardship levers available include advocacy and the suite of rights attached to our shareholdings. Voting rights include the right to vote at companies’ general meetings and elect the directors we believe represent our members’ interests well. Other opportunities for influence also flow from these rights - for example direct communication with boards via engagement.

The role will be responsible for initiating, shaping, leading, overseeing and implementing our Stewardship framework and reporting the program goals, representing the fund, and managing a small team.

You will need the following for success;
- A track record of collaborating across a broad range of stakeholders (within the RI team, internal and external managers, broader stakeholders and SME’s) to influence ESG outcomes
- Strong communication skills with a desire to collaborate for the best outcomes
- Proven experience in senior stewardship, relevant responsible investment, ESG otherwise legal, human rights, climate change experience would be advantageous
