**About the role**

This **Test Analyst **position will see you work within a team that delivers a successful QA function to the various projects within the FinClear business.

Over the next 18 months, there will be a number of critical projects to deliver on. After which may come the opportunity to be a part of a team that will introduce Automation Testing. Hence having someone with an automation mindset may help accelerate the process, delivering the projects whilst developing the automation framework in tandem.

Given the nature of the work, the role really requires someone with a strong understanding of securities trading including CHESS and back-office systems.

**To be considered for the opportunity, you will be required to demonstrate**:

- A strong understanding of securities trading including CHESS settlement and back-office systems
- A successful track record in Testing & Quality Assurance
- Experience working with IRESS, ASX CHESS and MCM/ DCS Interfaces
- In-depth knowledge working with Exchange Traded Options (ETO) & Equities - clearing and settlement
- Experience implementing a quality, client-focused service delivery culture
- Knowledge of operating in a multi-vendor environment, strong exposure to financial markets, back office clearing and settlements
- Capability in leading SIT and UAT functions
- Skills to leverage the offerings from Jira and SQL

Bonus points:

- Experience working with Automation tools - Smartbear, Selenium, Tosca, Cucumber, etc
- If you have come from an Operations background and have moved into a Testing position

**What you’ll do**

At FinClear the **Test Analyst’s **key purpose is to ensure quality in what we deliver to our customers. This involves collaborating with developers, business users, end users and other technology teams to deliver an outstanding quality assurance program.

**You are likely to**:

- Create and execute System Integration testing (SIT) and User acceptance testing (UAT), including obtaining Business signoff
- Work closely with Business, Operations, Vendors and other stakeholders for test planning and execution
- Produce system test deliverables i.e. test plan, test scripts, and test data to the agreed timeframes, budget and quality
- Provide input into test plans and the management of defects in line with agreed procedures
- Deliver test documentation i.e. test object matrix, requirement traceability matrix and test cases for planned releases
- Test defect fixes and log new defects including relevant details into a defect tracking system
- Automation of regression testing pack to perform end-to-end system shakedown tests
- Test Environment planning, setup and management to help with readiness for test commencement
- Assist with release management and post-release validation checks and reporting
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Test Manager to assist with testing deliverables.
- Leverage Tools such as SQL, Jira and Confluence to assist you with the execution
