**About the role**
- This is an exciting opportunity for a Principal Policy Officer to join the Policy and Reform Team within the Biodiversity Offsets and Planning Branch through to September 2025, with the possibility of extension._
- This role leads a small team of policy staff responsible for supporting governance arrangements across the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme, providing policy advice on a broad range of issues about the scheme and supporting the development of strategic and operational policy reforms to the scheme._
**To be the successful applicant for this position you will require**:
- Policy and project skills, including experience leading and contributing to the delivery of government policy, including implementation of policy and reform projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in managing people and working collaboratively
- Confidence in building and managing stakeholder relationships
- A demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload and operate effectively in a complex work environment
A sound knowledge of the NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme is desirable, but not essential.
