**About the role**

Working across the organisation's affordable housing portfolio, you will primarily be responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance and technical responses in a nominated region. We currently work from Caloundra to Gold Coast and west to Ipswich with some flexibility offered as to which areas you may oversee. The role provides balance between planned activities and coordinating reactive repairs, working mainly from the Kenmore Head Office but balanced with time away from the office.

Your days will be varied and challenging but in essence will include:

- Coordinating internal maintenance teams and managing quality of work output;
- Contributing to the development of asset management strategies and maintenance plans;
- Conducting property condition surveys—assessing component's lifecycle, functionality and replacement value;
- Coordinating planned maintenance and upgrade works—ensuring contractors and sites are managed;
- Managing cyclical maintenance schedules and adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance requirements;
- Overseeing contractor performance and value management;
- Providing technical advice and contributing to the management of budgets and a comprehensive asset register.

Indicative Total Remuneration: $96, 962 (plus significant salary sacrificing benefits + superannuation).

You have the confidence to work alone in the field, following safe work practices, and also to work transparently and collaboratively with a team to achieve shared goals. An astute problem solver you are capable of troubleshooting on your feet.

Excellent communication skills are part of your expansive repertoire and you are capable of liaising comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders. With a work ethic that is second to none, you are reliable and hardworking. You easily bring fresh ideas to the table and have a very hands on approach.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

- Tertiary qualification in asset management or an equivalent level of expertise and experience e.g. trade qualification;
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction techniques for all classes of buildings and construction types (residential, commercial and multi-storey);
- Experience in facilities maintenance, asset management or construction;
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, interpret and evaluate information pertinent to assets' performance;
- Current driver's licence;
- National Police Check and Working with Children (Blue Card) or the ability to acquire.
