**About the role**

The Housing Facilities and Asset Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the asset management strategy for CCHSL’s property portfolio—providing customers with well-maintained homes. Responsible for the overall quality, compliance and asset management of the portfolio, the position holder must have extensive previous experience in the delivery of planned maintenance programmes as well as comprehensive knowledge of residential and multi-unit building construction processes and techniques.

This role requires an appreciation of general management principles with the ability to effectively lead a team—influencing a healthy compliance culture. We are looking for exceptional abilities in the management of stakeholders, natural people management and communication skills.

Business acumen is essential with an ability to manage numbers and determine the commercial value of opportunities. If you are a results driven self-starter, with an extensive understanding of lease agreements, government contracts and procurement processes, we would love to hear from you.

With well-developed communication skills you liaise comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You are a leader and problem solver, capable of troubleshooting on your feet.

To be suitable for this position, your qualifications for the role will consist of:

- A tertiary qualification in facilities maintenance or asset management, social science/community housing or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated operational and strategic management skills and experience in social/affordable housing, construction/development or property management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements applicable to the operation of social and affordable housing.
- Applied knowledge of asset management principles and best practice standards.
- A current driver’s licence and National Police Certificate (or the ability to acquire).
