The role:

The Marketing Consultant will work directly with clients to develop their strategy and implement it (as if they are that clients Marketing Manager). You will also work with a team of talented Purple Giraffe marketers to ensure our clients work is delivered on time, in full and on brand.

General responsibilities include:

- Manage direct clients’ accounts to help then grow their business through excellence in marketing practices
- Execute client marketing actions on time and in full
- Work closely and cohesively with them to build client relationships and achieve client business goals (as if you are their in-house marketing resource)
- Advising clients on branding, positioning, communications, strategy and other marketing matters
- Study client company profile and operations to understand their marketing needs
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and commercial opportunities
- Support in developing action-based marketing plans for a diverse range of clients
- Develop, maintain and implement marketing action plans according to client objectives and budgets
- Prepare detailed proposals, presentations, and planning documentation
- Identify media opportunities and craft main media messaging
- Manage and produce all marketing materials as required
- Work with Marketing Co-ordinators and Digital Media Consultant to develop digital media marketing programs (including social, website updates, SEO and Google) and develop content including eNewsletters and blogs for clients
- Monitor, manage and analyse results of marketing projects and campaigns
- Write performance reports with suggestions for improvements and recommendations
- Develop and manage client events
- Liaise with and build relationships with external suppliers and stakeholders
- Develop presentations for clients and industry
- Other marketing related activities as required from time to time

Job Requirements

We are searching for an experienced marketer to join our team who comes with the following skills:

- Proven experience as a Marketing Consultant or minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Senior Marketing Manager role or similar
- Proven hands-on experience in developing marketing strategic plans and executing marketing tactics/campaigns
- Detailed knowledge of marketing principles and best practices
- Detailed knowledge of digital marketing strategies and execution, including social media, eCommerce, marketing automation and CRM management
- Strong project management, multi-tasking and decision-making skills with a hands-on approach
- Metrics driven marketing with an eye for creativity and design
- Willingness and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office 365
- Ability to think strategically and analytically
- Extensive writing ability (proficient in writing proposals, plans, content and reports)
- Excellent communications (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Outstanding organisational skills and ability to work autonomously when required
- Self-starter with an aptitude in problem solving
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a relevant field
