Production Supervisor

**About the Position**

Master Steel specializes in the technical manufacture and assembly of steel components for the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and local councils. In this position you will be part of the workshop production team where you will perform supervision. You will be reporting to the management team and Company Directors daily. In this role you will be expected to do the following:

- **Workshop based role**:

- Lead and oversee the production
- Assist the production engineers with executing the project, **understanding of the production flow chart **and implement system to ensure continuous and lean manufacturing
- Production planning & timesheet approval
- **Ensure 0 downtime** and introduce efficiencies on operational activities
- **Direct and supervise workshop staff** comprising of including (but not limited to): engineers, productions assistants, fabricators, general labourers, labour hire personnel, etc.
- **People management skills** and delegating tasks accordingly
- Responsible for meeting client deadlines and ensuring daily targets are met
- Assist engineers with inventory control on consumables and maintenance of assets including equipment and tools
- Conducting morning meetings with the production team
- Advice management of workshop activities with daily reports

**You will need the following**:

- Prior experience as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing environment
- Time management and coordination skills
- **Must** be punctual, disciplined and be strict with supervision
- **Must **have good attitude, proactive, reliable and a team player
- **Must** have enthusiasm for steel, technology, and manufacturing processes

**Salary**: $55,302.44 - $90,168.15 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus
