To step into our creative and production team, you’re going to need passion, energy and talentlots of raw talent We’re looking for a junior designer who’s keen to learn and not afraid to have a crack at just about anything.

Work with us and you’ll become a key player on the team, working on some of the biggest brands and most high-profile sponsorships in the country. You’ll be working on client projects large and small, as well as playing a key role in designing and executing our internal marketing and comms. Our work spans print, social, digital, video, outdoor and almost everything in between. No two days are ever quite the same at Gemba

Ideally, you’ll have a year of experience working on the tools, and you’ll be a team player who shows genuine initiative. You’ll have the ability to juggle a few projects at once, prioritise and deliver quality outcomes to tight deadlines. You’ll also have the answer to random questions fired at you, like ‘if you were a horror movie villain, who would you be?’ All this while remaining fully zen and evolving into a totally gun designer. Easy.

**Desired skills, attitude and experience for the position include**:

- Bachelor of Communication Design and/or Certificate Diploma of Graphic Design
- 1 year design/advertising/industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated design and finished art skills across print, digital, social and presentation formats
- Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Powerpoint. Bonus points if you have skills in Premiere, After Effects, Google Web Designer and/or SketchUp
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
- Ability to hit deadlines and present your designs and ideas internally
- A proactive, solution-based approach in a fast-paced environment - balancing your time and energy across multiple projects
- Great attention to detail and the ability to quality check your own work
- The willingness to share knowledge and learn new techniques/skills
- Bonus points if you know how to organise your working files, and you’re house proud about server structure
- Police Check
