As an Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for providing contemporary advice and guidance on employee relations matters and associated risk consistent with contemporary employee relations practices and UnitingCare’s Purpose, Mission and Values.

You will lead our Aged Care and Community Services (BlueCare) portfolio and a team of Employee Relations Advisors. This role advocates in commissions and tribunals, is critical in the implementation of the enterprise agreement strategy, and oversights case management activities including investigations and reports.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:

- Contribute to the implementation of the enterprise agreement strategy through advising on bargaining strategy, leading and supporting negotiations, preparation of agreements and supporting resources, and managing voting and approval processes.
- Manage and coordinate external industrial relations and employee relations claims and the advocacy of matters before Commissions or Tribunals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current employment relations frameworks, legislation, precedents and practice for the purpose of identifying and escalating to the General Manager, Employee Relations potential impacts, opportunities and risks for allocated business portfolio within the current UnitingCare employment relations landscape.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of employment relations strategies, systems, policies and process.

What makes a difference for us?
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources or Employee Relations, with an in-depth knowledge of employee and employment relations legislation and frameworks are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with practical experience in a large, complex organisation, with experience in developing business focused employment relations strategies for a large state-wide organisation.
- Sound knowledge of complex industrial environments, case management, dispute resolution and experience in strategy development and implementation.
- Proven success in stakeholder engagement and management, influencing capability and the ability to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders at all levels across an organisation.
